Sailor Moon R Banpresto Plush Repair

Description

I finished repairing the Sailor Moon R plush. Almost every single one of these plushies from this set are like this because of the material they used, it all disintegrated over time. So sad that both this plush and the shoes for the Tuxedo Mask from this set were both made of this material. Luckily though she was a easy fix and now she looks brand new. A lot of people that collect this one just put her in a bag to protect her from falling apart anymore but I like to hang my plushies freely in my room so repairing her seemed like a neater choice for me.

I used Tulip brand fabric paint. It comes glossy or velveteen. I got the glossy for the boots and velveteen for her bodice and underwear. The reddish pink color I had to mix myself to get the right shade to match. I used a pink and sparkle red to get the right color. I then just painted it on with a small brush. You can only do a small section at a time so it took a little while waiting for each section to dry before doing another and with two coats but she looks lovely now. If you want to repair yours and the section you wanna paint is peeling bad from the material you wanna repair, try to knock off some of the peeled part before beginning to paint.

Ohhh this looks lovely <3
I know this was awhile back, but do you remember how much the paints cost, roughly? Also, since you used fabric paint, did you have to iron it on to make it set...?
